  Beware of Brixham Aerials & Satellites.
  
  Anyone requiring an aerial or satellite repair please be on your guard if considering engaging this business concern unless prepared to be conned out of your hard-earned cash.
  Unaware at the time of others who had their own bitter experiences, I engaged them last April to fix an LNB that had become detached from the arm of my satellite dish. The joint proprietor James told me upon his inspection that I needed both a new dish and LN.B. Being none the wiser, I paid him £160 in cash for work which took him no longer than 10 minutes .Upon my questioning his speediness ,he reassured me that he had indeed supplied both a brand new dish and LNB and that he had “applied a spray from an aerosol can to protect the dish from the effects of the sea air in this locality”.
  Most recently, once again the LNB became detached from the dish and I tried many times in vain to contact the firm by telephone.
  Eventually, I engaged a reputable installer who removed the rusting aged dish and LNB to reveal that neither had been replaced in recent years. The installer confirmed that all that Brixham Aerials &Satellites had done was to secure the old LNB back onto the still broken bracket on the dish arm by using a single cable tie the likes of which can be purchased for a few pence.
  So be on your guard least, like myself at nearly eighty years of age, you are prepared to deal with those who are both liars and thieves who charge £160 for 10 minutes work providing nothing other than a 5p cable tie.
